Chartered Physiotherapists specialise in the science of how the human body moves and functions. This requires studying to a minimum of University degree level, covering indepth subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Psychology, Neurology, Respiratory, Pathology. Additionally, treatment modalities and​​ techniques are studied, which continues throughout a Physiotherapists career.

Physiotherapy Examination and Treatment

An initial physiotherapy consultation to assess your problem will usually last between 45-60 minutes, in which your physiotherapist will complete a comprehensive evaluation of your problem through specific questioning and physical examination testing.

Once a diagnosis has been established, a treatment plan will be developed. This will take into account any specific aims and objectives you may have.​​​

Subsequent follow-up consultations will usually last up to 30 minutes. The overall number of appointments required to alleviate your problem will depend on your condition, however you will be able to make appointments at your own convenience and will be in control of your rehabilitation.
